IEEMA represents the entire Indian electrical industry in today's rapidly changing business environment. The Association covers all sectors of the electrical and allied products business.

IEEMA promotes and protects interests of the Indian companies’ active in the area of electrical business and is recognized as their representative organization. IEEMA is, therefore, invited to represent the sector on many councils and committees constituted by the Government.

Being the first association from India to achieve an ISO certification in January 1998, IEEMA has now been recertified for ISO 9001-2000 I January 2003.

The objective of IMDTC is to provide technical inputs / suggestions to Meter Division by working on technical things related to metering & metering related solutions such as HHU, Smart Meter, Smart Grid, AMI, etc. concerns of metering industry can be addressed while keeping government policies & regulations across the country into consideration.

The intellectual property rights of the IMDTC are owned by IEEMA Meter Division only.
